I love a good challenge. Whether it’s downsizing my wardrobe or making a month’s worth of meals in one day, I like making a goal and pursuing it intensively…so participating in Nathalie Lussier’s 30 Day List Building Challenge was a no-brainer. Of course I wanted to grow my list of email subscribers in 30 days!

Ambition vs. reality

When I signed up, I had high hopes. But here’s the truth, I couldn’t accomplish everything she asked me to in the 30 days…and for a hot minute I felt overwhelmed and beat myself up. Why couldn’t I do it all?

Then I remembered that I was participating in this challenge and taking steps in the right direction. Even one step in the right direction is better than doing nothing at all. I decided to focus my attention on one thing in particular that Nathalie recommended—the opt-in offer. Because heck yes, I could do that!

When you focus, you win.

Just do one thing right. Then the next thing. When you’re moving in the right direction, each step is a good step.
